Clearway Doors and Windows have also worked on some of the biggest commercial projects in the UK. View a selection of our commercial projects below.
Clearway has installed windows and doors in numerous schools. For this particular development at Myton School in Warwick we supplied and installed Easyway doors, Dualframe windows, louvres and the Sapa Brise Soleil sunscreen system.
The Easyway door is designed to withstand heavy usage and foot traffic for a reliable, sturdy door that is well suited to commercial applications such as schools. It also features an anti-finger trap hinge style which prevents fingers or hands being trapped when the door is opened or closed.
The Sapa Brise Soleil sunscreen system was installed to help reduce solar heat gain through the window as well as reduce glare from the sun. This helps control the internal temperature to create a comfortable work environment.
It was important this project was completed on time and we worked to exact specifications to have it completed quickly and professionally. The products installed met the project requirements as well as the safety and security needs of both the students and staff at the school.
Another school project Clearway has been involved in was Bromsgrove School in Worcestershire in which we supplied and installed Easyway commercial doors, Elegance curtain walling, and Dualframe windows and automatic doors.
The project was started in May 2011 and saw work on the fitness suite, hospitality/sports building, Mary Windsor Boarding House, Oakley Boarding House and Page Boarding House. The project was completed in July 2012 with 236 casement windows and 25 thermally broken commercial doors installed across the school.
Director Shane Stevens comments: “Bromsgrove School was a fairly large project that took a little over a year to complete. We manufactured and installed aluminium windows and doors across many of the modern facilities as well as the boarding houses. This gave the school a more modern appearance whilst the thermally broken doors provided good insulation against the cold.
Christopher Whitehead College
For the Christopher Whitehead Language College in Worcestershire, Clearway manufactured and fitted Sapa Dualframe windows to replace the existing out-dated frames. The result was a quality installation job that really lifted the appearance of the building.
Approximately 200 Dualframe casement windows and 10 Sapa 202 commercial doors were fitted, alongside Sapa Elegance curtain walling which was installed in the stairwells and gymnasium.
The project was completed in 3 phases from August 2008 and September 2011.
Christopher Whitehead Language College is a mixed comprehensive school based on a large site on the west bank of the River Severn with views of the Malvern Hills and of Worcester City and its cathedral.
Formed in 1983 its buildings vary in age and architecture. Over the years, Christopher Whitehead has been substantially modernised and re-equipped and here at Clearway we are proud that our windows and doors played a part in bringing this excellent establishment up-to-date.
Kanes Foods Factory
Kanes Foods’ factory was a very high-profile project. Clearway manufactured and installed Elegance curtain walling, Dualframe windows and automatic doors for the new £30 million factory, which has been dubbed one of the UK’s greenest buildings.
Clearway used Sapa Elegance 52 HL curtain walling glazed with Interpane Ipasol solar control glass, which was fully laminated to minimise the chance of broken glass getting into the food chain. The state-of-the art curtain walling system spanned an impressive 11,000 square metres and the finished installation was seen by over 150 attendees at the official opening in July.
Director Shane Stevens comments: “The new Kanes factory is a landmark building in every sense. Clearway’s expertise and experience has been clearly demonstrated by our manufacture and installation of the curtain walling for such an impressive building.”
Bugatti Owners’ Club
Clearway completed work on the pretigious Bugatti Owners’ Club, located at the Prescott Speed Hill Climb, in July 2013, where they supplied and installed four aluminium bifold doors, and a number of aluminium shaped windows at the club’s conference centre and clubhouse.
The venue is surrounded by a racetrack, and can be hired out for weddings and events, making bifold doors the perfect choice to let the beautiful surroundings in, and compliment the already impressive buildings.
