Shell Store Project in Hereford
In 2020 we were asked to work on the prestigious Shell Store Project in Hereford to Supply & Install Windows, Doors & Curtain Wall Screens. Originally built in the First World War and used as an ordnance site in the Second World War, the Shell Store has played a significant role in the history of Hereford. Quattro Architects transformed the building into a modern office space whilst retaining as many original features as possible, such as a large amount of the existing steel framework.
Clearway carried out the installation of 43 windows around the external shell of the building and also 2 raked curtain wall screens incorporating 2 no. door sets each. With the help of Pro-sale Ltd we also automated a set of doors to provide hands free access to the building. This was a challenging project and required the Clearway team to carry out in depth site surveys, design bespoke bracketry and develop intricate fitting details to achieve the end result.
It was a pleasure to work on such an important project and we are delighted to be have been part of the transformation of this historical structure.
