A new shirt sponsorship deal for Tewkesbury’s Junior Darts Academy

Clive Burgess from Tewkesbury is Production Manager for CDW Systems in Gloucester (part of the East Manor Group) and manages a busy factory with over forty staff.

Tewkesbury’s Junior Darts Academy

For most people this would keep them busy enough! In his spare time, however, Clive runs Tewkesbury Junior Darts Academy providing an introduction to the sport for 8 to 18 year olds, as featured in April's Tewkesbury Direct. When the Directors of East Manor Group (which includes CDW, Clearway Doors & Windows and Designex Cabinets) heard about Clive’s efforts they offered to sponsor shirts for members through Clearway and Designex. Tewkesbury Darts Academy runs two days a week on a Saturday morning 10am-11.30am and on a Wednesday evening between 5.45pm and 7.15pm. It is based at JD’s Snooker Club in Oldbury Road, and offers youngsters of all abilities the chance to play darts in a safe environment with little or no pressure. Clive’s company, CDW Systems Limited, manufacture and supply high quality aluminium window, door, and curtain wall products for trade installers across the UK. Its sister company, Cheltenham- based Clearway Doors & Windows was established in 1983. From a two-man operation it has grown into a thriving double glazing company with specialist manufacturing facilities, employing over 30 people in sales, manufacturing, surveying and installation. The third member of the East Manor Group, Designex Cabinets, designs and builds premium glass display cabinets for homes, showrooms, museums and shop displays.
