Beautiful Curves

Always ready for a challenge, Clearway’s Survey, Processing, Manufacturing and Installation Departments were well tested with this lovely project recently. Two Art Deco style curved on plan bay windows. The brief was to use slim framework and a simple design in keeping with the original style while improving thermal performance and ease of maintenance. Of course we also had to keep to the original curved facets.

Careful templating of the original windows by our Surveyor was followed by detailed discussions with our profile bending partners Midland Alloy (https://midlandalloy.com/) who formed the all important curved on plan sections. Our Manufacturing Department carefully married these with the centre sections and the completed frames sat on a specially curved cills.

Then it was just down to our Installation Teams to carry out the tricky fitting operation. With the scaffolding put in place the task was completed with meticulous care in not so helpful weather conditions. The result is, I am sure you will agree, quite stunning.
